Feature announcement
This is interesting! Never been a fan of the default List Template given by a SharePoint site, but they are still an easy way to use a feature without customising a blank list. They were missing to show on webparts, and now as announced in Microsoft 365 roadmap, all the old goodies from SharePoint classics are coming too Modern Pages gradually, hopefully in a much better way!
We can already add PowerApps form to a page, soon we can add these list to pages and make site pages embed productivity tools within them.

We’re updating SharePoint web parts: Document library and lists. The List web part now supports announcement lists, promoted links, contact lists, and issue tracking lists. Any of these lists can be added to your pages the same way custom lists were added.
Users will now be able to select their lists created via a template in the web part. We'll be gradually rolling this out to Targeted Release customers in the end of November, and the roll out will be completed worldwide by the end of December.
