The Shoemaker’s Dilemma: Neglecting My Own Automation 😲

  • by

There’s a French saying that goes “the shoemaker always has bad shoes,” which basically means that people in certain professions tend to neglect their own needs while fulfilling those of others. In my case, this expression has proven true.

I regularly create complex workflows for my clients, yet I failed to notice that one of my own automations stopped running a while ago!

I have a few automations in place to manage my social media, and one of them involves pre-creating a WordPress Post whenever I publish a new YouTube video. This allows me to simply edit the post on my blog and decide whether or not to publish it as a blog post.

The problem is that, like many other workflow automation services, this particular automation requires periodic credential refreshment. If the credentials are not refreshed, the automation comes to a halt.

That’s exactly what happened to this automation, and that’s why my blog has not been updated for far too long!

If you haven’t already, please take a look at some of the videos I’ve published. They are meant to provide solutions and facilitate quick learning.
